The Closing Session of the 1st International Conference on Canadian Agri-food & Rural Advisory, Extension, and Education (CAREE) marked a powerful and heartfelt conclusion to three inspiring days of learning, connection, and vision.
Facilitated by Dr. Ataharul Chowdhury and Rebeca Lee, the session brought together distinguished voices shaping the future of Canadian agriculture — The Honourable Robert Black, P. Ag. (Hon), Senator for Ontario; Keith Currie, President of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture; and Brent Preston, President of Farmers for Climate Solutions.
What was called a closing session felt instead like the opening of new doors — to collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose across Canada’s agri-food and rural advisory community.
In an emotional moment, Dr. Ataharul Chowdhury, Conference Chair, expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who made CAREE possible — from the organizing team and facilitators to the partners, speakers, and participants who brought energy and vision to every conversation. His heartfelt words reminded all in attendance that this closing is not an end, but a beginning of continued collaboration and shared growth.
🌾 Here’s to new beginnings — and the many doors now open through CAREE 2025.
