Abstract Submission

Submission Types

Track A Full paper: These submissions should report on a systematic investigation of a clearly defined research problem, OR discuss conceptual/ theoretical ideas, OR report on a systematic analysis of experience/cases (e.g., evaluation of an initiative, analysis of a training experience, action research etc.). Research can be based on empirical data or secondary sources, but it should describe the methodological steps taken. These submissions should target completed research.

Track B Ideas at Work: These submissions can target partially completed research where the results might not be fully available at the point of submission.

The abstract should not be more than 300 words and include information on the following headings:

• Title (not included in the word limit)

• Introduction and/or theoretical framework and/or review of the literature

• Purpose and objectives

• Methods and/or data sources, theoretical/philosophical themes, or process of a program or product development

• Findings, products, and/or conclusions*

• Theoretical and practical implications and recommendations*

• Reference (not included in the word limit): Include in the word template only. Do not include it in the submission box. 

*Ideas at Work submissions may omit sections when necessary, such as findings and recommendations.

The submission will be considered for either Oral or Poster Presentation. If your submitted abstract is accepted, it will be assigned a presentation type based on the reviewers’ comments and assessment. The abstract will be reviewed by a peer-review (double-blind reviews) panel comprising the convenors, the program committee and other qualified reviewers. Those that are not accepted for an oral presentation will be considered for poster presentations.

Submission Instructions

Proposals will be submitted via the Microsoft CMT link here

  • If you have not submitted through this system in the past, you will need to create a user account by clicking the “Registration” tab in the online system.
  • After you log in to the system, click “+ Create new submission” in the Author Console.
  • Choose the track
  • Enter the title, and the abstract text in the box.
  • The section “AUTHORS” should list your e-mail address, Name, Organization, Province/State and Country.
  • To add more authors, please enter the e-mail address of your co-author and click “+ Add.” Fill in the fields to provide the name, organization, and country of your co-author and click “+ Add.” Repeat this process to add more co-authors.
  • Select Submission Topic/Subject Area
  • Answer the questions.
  • Use and attach the file template
  • Click “Submit.”

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
