Project Idea: “AgriData Nexus — AI-Driven Climate-Smart Advisory Platform”
Concept: Develop a collaborative research and innovation project that integrates AI, remote sensing, and local agricultural data to deliver real-time, location-specific advisories for farmers. CAREE (Center for Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension) could lead as the hub connecting academia, tech partners, and local farming communities.
Objectives:
Predictive Insights: Use AI models to forecast yield, pest outbreaks, and water stress based on satellite and sensor data.
Farmer Decision Support: Provide actionable recommendations (crop choice, fertilizer use, irrigation timing) via mobile platform.
Capacity Building: Train local extension workers and students in data analytics and digital agriculture tools.
